Compared with traditional communication technologies such as electrical interconnection, optical interconnection technology has the advantages of large bandwidth, low energy consumption, anti-interference, etc. Therefore, is becoming an important approach and development trend short distance very data terminal communication. As implementation chip level silicon on insulator (SOI) based on-chip been widely applied support a series multiplexing technologies. In recent decades, many devices have developed conventional design methods coupled-mode, multimode interference, transmission line theories. However, when used in device design, these often face problems complex theoretical calculations high labor costs. Many designed also issues insufficient compactness integration, well single function. Intelligent method pellucid principle, freedom optimization, good material compatibility, which can solve to extent. With wide application intelligent devices, gradually shown three main trends. Firstly, size interconnect developing towards ultra compact sizes. Secondly, number intelligently controllable increasing. Thirdly, are integration systematization. This paper summarizes most commonly photonic including algorithms neural networks methods. After that, above research advances trends analyzed detail.
